2. We read the last segment of the handout and discussed it.

1. What event happened that created a turning point in how the world viewed oil?
2. Why or how was this event a problem?
3. How has it changed the balance of power in the world?
4. How does money finance ideas?
5. What ideas are being financed by oil money?
6. How does the oil issue concern more than the environment (i.e. the U.S. economy and the security of the U.S.?
